The original concepts of this system were introduced by Helena of ZetaBoards, with coding help from Reid of ZetaBoards. Helena was the designer of the emoticons as well.

You can find the download links for the emoticon files in the ZetaBoards topic.

Description:

QUOTE (Helena)
Cheshire Emotes are a brand new way to install theme-specific emoticons on your ZetaBoards forum. In the preview, you will notice that only the faces appear in the emoticon images. To use the Cheshire Emoticon system, you only need to install the basic CE faces in your ACP. Then, add a short code to the CSS of each theme that includes the URL of a customized blank emoticon base. And voila! Matching emoticons for all your themes without tedious javascript replace-arrays to configure each time, and without the loading delay. This system is also compatible with all popular browsers that render PNGs properly.

jCodes is using the Cheshire Emoticon System.

To install on the Jcink software, go here:

Admin CP → Skins & Templates → Style Sheets → Edit

CODE
a[href*="javascript:emoticon"] img, div.postcolor img[alt*="https"], td[class*="post"] img[alt*="https"], a[href*="javascript:add_smilie"] img, #ucpcontent p img[alt*="https"] {
background: url(BASE_IMAGE_URL) no-repeat;
}

Edit the BASE_IMAGE_URL as applicable and once you have all the Cheshire emoticons setup in the Admin CP, the CSS snippet above will transform them into actual-looking emoticons.

I'm happy to see this system get a new life at Jcink. And Cory has adjusted the method so that the confliction problems with existing custom smilies or duplicate image alts are no longer an issue.

Jcink gets a "new improved" version. https://files.jcink.net/uploads/cory//2amused.png

When this system was first designed, only FireFox supported animated PNG images (apng). But the file type is now supported by all current browsers with the exception of Edge. So most of your members will be able to enjoy the animations.

This is the preview image for those unfamiliar with the system.
